Spotted this the other day driving around. Pretty sure you can take the sign down now, Mr. Former Daihatsu Dealer.

I think the last model year was 1992, so maybe service or parts demand until the turn of the century. A real relic now, but maybe a fun landmark.

There’s a Lada sign still at a used car dealer just north of Winnipeg.

How is that sign not full of rock holes, sun fade, bullets, etc?

Yeah I was blown away - it looked fresh. Maybe dude is proud of being the Daihatsu King.

There’s a few still around Ontario as well.

Yeah it’s weird as the sign is in really good shape. It was definitely the early 90s that they stopped selling them. Maybe they sprung for the Tru-Coat when they bought the sign?

He even has a modernized section of sidewalk with bumps for the visually impaired. And a decent RV collection (sales or storage?)
So he’s keeping up with something at least.

Definitely still an RV dealer, though they have a 1 star rating on Yelp...

“The RVs tasted metallic and were clearly overcooked!”
(Sorry, still trying to get used to Yelp as anything more than a hipster restaurant lovefest...)

They’ve probably had a Rocky time of it since the early nineties...

Reminds me of the still standing (I believe) sign for a Peugeot dealership in Parkersburg WV. It’s now a shop that sell Amish made furniture but the sign remains.

Id like to give him a round of Applause for keeping that sign up for so long.

It looks like they’re Copen pretty well. Having the RV business must be a real Boon for them.

Yes, I agree. It was a Gran(d) Move adding the RV business, although I cant stop but wonder if its a good idea keeping all that flammable Materia(l) under one roof, with all the RV’s and all.

There was another closed CDJ dealer in New London, CT that still had the Pug sign up a few years ago, but sadly it has disappeared.
